Basket-Hall

Basket-hall was put into operation in the year of 2002. The small venue was first constructed with the capacity of 1500 seats. The main venue, counted for 7,000 spectators, was ready by August, 2003.

Basket-hall is the largest specialized basketball venue in Russia, able to host team sport competitions as well as individual sport tournaments. President and Government of the Republic of Tatarstan have significantly contributed to the construction of Basket-hall. It was Evgeny B. Bogachev - Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Tatarstan, BC UNICS President, who initiated the construction started.

Basket-hall has a number of times hosted Russian and international basketball "Final Four" tournaments, among them "FIBA-Europe" Cup (2004), Russian Cup (2008) and VTB United League (2011). Basket-hall housed international tournaments on gymnastics rhythmic, National championships on fencing, boxing, chess, and once served as the World Wrestling on belts Championship's floor. European Weightlifting Championships-2010 was successfully held in Basket-hall and deserved much praise from international athletes and experts.

In June, 2005 Basket-hall won the 1st prize in the contest for the "Best sport venue of Russia" of the National prize "GROSS".
