The Head of Tatarstan congratulated UNICS on the championship

Today, on May 20, the Kazan Kremlin hosted the celebration of BC UNICS, the champion of the VTB United League and the strongest basketball club in Russia following the results of the 2022/23 sports season. Tatarstan Rais Rustam Minnikhanov personally congratulated our team on the historic achievement.

By decree of the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Kazan basketball players Andrey Vorontsevich, Nenad Dimitrijevic, Georgy Zhbanov, Vyacheslav Zaitcev, Louis Labeyrie, Daryl Macon, Marcos Knight, Jalen Reynolds, Vince Hunter, as well as representatives of the coaching staff Velimir Perasovic, Artur Bigeev and Iskandar Bagdanov were awarded medals «100 years of the formation of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic» for winning the VTB United League and Russian championships.

Olga Akhsanova, BC UNICS Vice-President, Elvira Alimova, Head of the International Department of the club, and Alexander Troshkin, head of the team, were awarded the titles «Honored Worker of Physical Culture and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan».

BC UNICS President Evgeny Bogachev, as well as the club's employees Rustam Arslanov, Victoria Lukoyanova, Albert Miftakhov, Elena Semenova and Tatiana Simbirina received letters of thanks for their great contribution to the achievement of high results by athletes this season from the hands of Rustam Minnikhanov.

BC UNICS presented Rustam Minnikhanov a ball signed by all the players of the team and took a joint photo.

I will note the work of the coaching staff. And, of course, I applaud the president of the club Evgeny Bogachev. Wherever and by whom he works, he does everything very efficiently.
