UNICS-2 takes the start in the playoffs

On Tuesday, April 4, at 14:00, UNICS-2 will open the quarterfinal series of the VTB United Youth League against the Moscow MBA-2 on the home floor of the Vasilevo UTC.

Andrey Kibenko's team finished the regular season in 8th place in the table with a neutral balance of wins and losses (22 each). The leader of UNICS-2 Sergey POLSTYANOV became the best sniper of the tournament (19.0 points) and became the second player of the championship in efficiency (19.4).

In the first round of the playoffs, the opponent of the Kazan youth team will be the winner of the regular season MBA-2. In the current campaign, the capital's basketball players have won 35 out of 44 matches. In the current draw of the regular season, UNICS-2 and MBA-2 played four matches against each other. In Moscow on October 29 and 30, the teams exchanged wins – 93:70 in favor of the hosts and 82:80 in favor of Andrey Kibenko's wards. On January 29-30, our opponents took away two victories from Vasilevo – 71:60 and 85:56.

The series of the 1/4 finals of the VTB United Youth League will be held to two wins. The first match will take place on April 4 at the Vasilevo Sports Center. Then the teams will move to Moscow, where on April 7 at 12:00 they will meet again on the parquet of Basket Hall Moscow. If a third game is needed to determine the semifinalist, it will be held at the capital arena on April 8 at 20:00.
