Ilona Korstin, CEO of the VTB United League, noted in an interview with Sport Express that the prize for the most valuable player (MVP) of the regular season will go to the basketball player from the winning team.

«Of course, the MVP award will go to the leader of the team that takes the first place, this is our rule,— said Ilona Korstin. — Now UNICS is in the lead, and if Kazan retains the first place, then the prize will go to Dimitrijevic. Nenad is having a great season again. He scores 30+ points in matches with direct competitors, is very good at playing along, leads his partners in difficult moments. So far, he's the favorite. But, as you understand, Kazan has not yet guaranteed itself a victory. Among other players, I would single out Devaughn Akun-Purcell from Lokomotiv Kuban and Vince Hunter from Zenit. Unfortunately, CSKA leader Casper Ware is injured. Melo Trimble is very good in segments, but he lacks stability».
