Until the end of the season, UNICS leased Andrey VORONTSEVICH (207 cm, 107 kg), the power forward of Pari Nizhny Novgorod, the most titled Russian basketball player, three–time Euroleague champion, 10-time VTB United League champion, 14-time Russian champion and bronze medalist of the 2011 European Championship.

The 36-year-old native of Omsk has already played for UNICS from 2021 to 2023 and helped our team become the champion of the VTB United League and Russia for the first time in the club's history in the 2022/23 season, as well as win bronze a year earlier. In addition to Kazan, Vorontsevich has defended the colors of Sibirtelecom-Lokomotiv Novosibirsk (2004-2006), CSKA Moscow (2006-2020) and Pari Nizhny Novgorod (2021, 2023-2024) for 20 years of his career.

In his extensive collection of awards – the bronze medal of the European championship 2011 in Lithuania in the Russian team, three Euroleague titles (2008, 2016 and 2019), ten gold medals of VTB United League (2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023), 14 victories in the Championships of Russia with CSKA Moscow and UNICS (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023), as well as two Cup Russia (2007, 2010). In addition, Andrey is a three–time silver medalist of the Euroleague (2007, 2009 and 2012) and a three-time bronze medalist of the continent's most prestigious club tournament (2010, 2013, 2015).

In the current VTB United League season, Vorontsevich took part in 23 matches (12 of them at the start), in which his average stats were 11.2 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 24:20 minutes of playing time. In mid-March, the forward helped Pari Nizhny Novgorod to reach the final of the Russian Cup and was included in the Team of the Final Four.

Andrey Vorontsevich took part in the VTB United League All-Star Game six times (2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024), and in 2017 he was recognized as the MVP.
