Basketball club UNICS signed a contract with guard Marcos KNIGHT (191 cm, 94 kg). The agreement with the 33-year-old American is valid until the end of this season with an option to extend for the next one.

In the current VTB United League championship, Marcos Knight was the undisputed leader of Samara, giving out diverse statistics. The UNICS rookie is in the Top 5 of the League in average performance (16.9 points), ranks 6th in the championship in efficiency (18.7), 10th in steals (1.5), 14th in assists (4.5), 20th in rebounds (4.9), and also 15th in accuracy of hits from behind the arc (42% three–pointers).

The American guard moved to Samara last summer from ASVEL, with whom he won the French championship a year ago and played 17 matches in the Euroleague (8.2 points and 4.6 rebounds).

Kazan fans remember Knight from his performances for Monaco in the April 2021 Eurocup final against UNICS. In the first meeting of the golden series, which ended with a home victory of the Monegasques (89:87), he scored 14 points and 6 rebounds. In addition, Marcos became the main hero of the decisive match on the court of the Basket Hall (86:83). On April 30, the guard scored a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds, adding 4 assists to them and showing the best efficiency coefficient in his team (23).

Before moving to the French championship, Knight played for the German Ludwigsburg, in which he was recognized as the MVP of the Bundesleague finals in 2020. Previously, the newcomer of the white-greens also played in the Turkish Afyon Belediye and the Spanish Zaragoza.
