UNICS-2 defeated Enisey-2 twice in Krasnoyarsk

On February 16 and 17, UNICS-2 won two major victories in the regular championship of the VTB United Youth League over peers from Krasnoyarsk Enisey-2 – 94:66 and 90:73.

The key to the defeat of the hosts in the first match was an excellent second quarter, which Kazan won with a score of 27:9. The basketball players of UNICS-2 demonstrated a team game, giving 22 assists. 5 of our guys scored double-digit points at once, three of them scored double-doubles.

Vladimir NAUMOV scored 18 points and collected 11 rebounds. Roman ILYUK brought 17 points to the team, and also made 10 assists, 3 rebounds and 3 steals. Nikita LEDNEV collected 12 rebounds and added 10 points to them. Vadim MAZUROV scored 15 points and 3 rebounds. Stepan SHULGIN has 10 points and 7 rebounds.

The next day, UNICS-2 again won a convincing victory over the Siberians – 90:73. Our guys dominated under the boards, collecting 17 more rebounds than their rivals – 54 against 37 at Enisey-2. Vladimir NAUMOV was again the best in the guest team, who finished the game with a double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. Roman ILYUK brought the team 16 points and 5 assists. Yaroslav PRISHEDKO and Stepan SHULGIN scored 20 points and 15 rebounds for two.

Andrey KIBENKO's team will play their next matches on February 28 and 29 on the home floor at the Vasilevo Sports Center against the current vice-champion MBA-2.
