UNICS-2 defended the home court twice

On January 11 and 12, UNICS-2 won two home games in the regular season of the VTB United Youth League over Avtodor-2 from Saratov – 82:60 and 70:64.

Nikita IVANOV was the best in the home team in the first match, scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. One assist was not enough for Roman ILYUK to double-double (11 + 9 assists). Captain Yaroslav Prishedko brought the team 9 points with 6 rebounds.

Kazan outperformed Saratov under the boards, taking 10 more rebounds (47 to 37) and showed more team basketball (23 to 17 in assists). 30 shots from short and long range out of 68 attempts from our guys reached the goal (44%) against 17 out of 61 (27%) from the opponents.

Today, the team of Andrey KIBENKO achieved victory over the Saratov youth team largely thanks to the inspired game of Ilya VOLODIN. The white-green playmaker scored 20 points (6/8 three-pointers), added 3 rebounds and 3 assists. Vladimir NAUMOV and Egor SHAPOSHNIKOV brought another 29 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists for two.

Our guys were stronger under the boards again (38 against 34 in rebounds) and gave more assists (20 to 15).

UNICS-2 will play its next matches on January 15-16 on the home floor of UTC Vasilevo against Samara-2.
